Escalante Wilderness is Utah's showcase for natural beauty. The scenery changes by the second. With every turn you and your horse take through the canyons or mesa tops, this riding country provides amazing views and different landscapes. There is red rock, white rock, even purple and green rock. All the colors of the rainbow lie in every direction, carved into fantastic shapes by wind and water.

We have made it possible to take horses through one of the most spectacular red rock slot canyons in the Escalante Wilderness. At one point the canyon is arms width wide - a horseback riding highlight of a lifetime.

One long ride winds through changing rock formations, vegetation and wildlife, ending at the Escalante River. There you can rinse off the trail dust and get ready for a lovely overnight, camping along this wild river with turkeys, coyotes and mountain lions. It is a wildlife paradise.

A horseback journey in the Escalante Wilderness is one of the planets most memorable riding experiences. This is a unique and awesome journey that is right at the top of horseback destinations. And it is a photographer's dream trip!

From base camp we ride to a completely different landscape each day. One day we do a top country ride along the base of a grand and multi-colored ridgeline. The next day we take a loop through a narrow slot canyon. Another day, we journey into a remote canyon and make a steady climb to enjoy a 360-degree view of the Escalante Wilderness and the mountains of the Dixie National Forest. Our overnight camping trip is to the Escalante River. Finally, a truck tour of Capitol Reef National Park is a great way to relax and end this unbelievable journey.

Trips are scheduled from end of April to mid-May.

Trip includes a full camp, food, an excellent cook, horses, guide and wrangler.
